Hey! I Am So Glad You're Here.

Hello all! Welcome to my blog! My name is Cambrie and I am from a small town in Eastern Iowa. I grew up on a small family farm, raising about 8 purebred polled Herefords and a few acres of alfalfa. Since I was a young child, I would always offer to go help any farmer in the area as I always wanted to gain any agricultural knowledge possible. I took many credits within the agricultural department in my high school and was involved in both 4-H and FFA that helped me gain knowledge and skills valuable to my future.  When growing up, I always thought I wanted to become a veterinarian, however, during my junior year of high school, I found my passion for advocating for agriculture and knew that is what I truly wanted my future to be focused on.

I graduated high school in 2018, then went to Hawkeye Community College for a year. In the fall of 2019, I started at Iowa State University majoring in Agriculture Education - Teacher Certification with a minor in Environmental Science. I am set to graduate in December of 2021 with my bachelor's degree.

During my time at Hawkeye Community College, I became involved in the Global Agriculture Learning Center, where I was fortunate to travel to Brazil with a group of students to learn more about agriculture and their society. Learning about international agriculture became a passion that led me to decide to study abroad for a semester in Thessaloniki, Greece at the American Farm School.

Following my adventures abroad, I continued my learning in school work along with internships.  With this blog, it is my hope to share about the different paths I travel down in life.
